The OSRAM HALOSTAR 64460 halogen lamp with a GY6.35 base and 24V low voltage is a precision light source designed for professional and technical applications where light quality is a critical factor. It belongs to OSRAM’s HALOSTAR Standard series, synonymous with reliability and consistent performance in the field of optical and laboratory instrumentation.
The GY6.35 double-pin base is the international standard for lighting in laboratory microscopes, stereoscopes, ophthalmic and dental work lamps, projection systems, and optical measuring instruments. The key feature of this category of lamps is perfect color rendering (CRI 100): the light renders the colors of the observed samples exactly as they appear in natural sunlight, without any spectral distortion. This is a fundamental requirement for medical diagnosis, histological examination, and all analyses that depend on the visual interpretation of color.
Older-generation photocopiers and professional offset printers use GY6.35 halogen lamps as their scanning and exposure light sources. The OSRAM 64460 model is the direct replacement of choice for many Canon, Xerox, Konica Minolta, and Ricoh machines: bulb dimensions, filament position, and electrical characteristics are identical to the original OEM, ensuring operational continuity without the need for recalibration.
In the lighting of art galleries, museum display cases, and jewelry stores, the HALOSTAR 64460 is valued for its intense, directional light beam that highlights details without altering color nuances. It is particularly effective on antique textiles, paintings, gold objects, and precious stones, where accurate color rendering is essential for the proper appreciation of the artwork.
Its color temperature of 3000K—a natural warm white—also makes it suitable for residential use in designer table lamps, low-voltage wall sconces, and decorative chandeliers that incorporate the GY6.35 lamp holder. The warm, bright light creates a cozy atmosphere in living rooms, studies, and bedrooms. Operation at 24V requires a dedicated low-voltage electronic transformer, which is typically integrated into the luminaire.
The OSRAM HALOSTAR 64460 GY6.35 100W 24V halogen lamp is available in single-pack units. All products are genuine OSRAM with CE certification and full batch traceability. For industrial applications with high consumption, special volume pricing is available upon request.
