Watts, lumens, Kelvin, CRI, IP, and other useful terms.

Lumen (lm)

Amount of light emitted: more lumens = brighter.

Watt (W)

Power consumption; with LEDs, lumens per watt are more important.

Kelvin (K)

Color temperature of light.

CRI

Color rendering: how natural the colors appear (ideally >90).

IP Rating

Dust and water protection (e.g., IP44 for the bathroom).

Dimmable

Compatibility with dimmers; check the driver and lamp.
