How to Calculate the Power Supply for an LED Strip

Total watts, safety margin, and correct voltage.

Multiply the watts per meter of the strip by the total number of meters. Add a 20% margin to prevent the power supply from overheating.

Use the same voltage (12V or 24V) indicated on the strip. For outdoor installations, check the IP rating.
